Our client is looking for an experienced Learning Disability Nurse (LDN) to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will provide high quality, compassionate care to adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs, including individuals requiring support within Low Secure and Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) environments.

Main duties of the job
As a qualified Learning Disability Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective and recovery focused care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist, person centred nursing care to adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health presentations in Low Secure and PICU settings
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans tailored to each person's communication, sensory and behavioural needs
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture
- Observing, recording and reporting changes in mental, physical or behavioural health
- Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards
- Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment that supports stabilisation, communication, engagement and recovery

Skills & knowledge you will have
- A relevant nursing qualification (RMN)
- NMC registration
- Strong team working skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- High levels of self motivation, flexibility and resilience
- A naturally caring, compassionate approach
- Commitment to high quality care and evidence based practice
Essential requirement
- Completion of Preceptorship (you must have completed this to be considered)
