Learning Disability Support Worker (Sherringham House)
Salary: £13.85 per hour, plus sleep-in allowance of £80.00 per sleep-in and enhanced overtime rate.
This role also attracts a Welcome Bonus of up to £350.
Location: Kenton, Newcastle upon Tyne
Hours: Full and part time roles available over a 7-day rota (both day roles and night roles available)
All we ask is that you have patience, a can-do attitude and a desire to help others. Full training will be provided to successful candidates who share our vision of providing outstanding support to those living in our care.
As a Support Worker within our Independent Supported Living service, you will:
Provide support to our tenants to develop the essential life skills they need to live as independently as possible in their own home. Support our tenants with day-to-day life skills, such as taking care of their homes, shopping and cooking. Encourage community engagement and support our tenants to maintain friendships and interests, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem. Communicate effectively with the people you are caring for. Be required to complete Level 2 Health and Social Care if not already held.
