Job Role: Learning Disability Support Worker
Hours per week: Full Time days role & Waking Nights Role Salary: £12.71 Location: Orford, Warrington
About the Organisation: Sandy Lane
This service is based in Orford, Warrington, and supports individuals with complex needs, including:
- Mental health needs
- Learning disabilities
We provide supported living in small, well-equipped homes, designed to help residents live as independently and confidently as possible.
Our approach is person-centred—tailoring support to each individual’s unique:
- Needs
- Preferences
- Goals
By working closely with the people we support and their families, we create personalised care plans that reflect who they are.
What a Typical Role Involves
No two days are the same. Our person-centred planning ensures support is tailored to meet each individual’s unique requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive training covering:
- Personal and intimate care
- Behavioural support (especially managing challenging behaviours)
- Promoting independence and confidence
- Building positive relationships through effective communication
Key support areas include:

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour (mandatory due to the complexity of care provided).
- No specific qualifications are required—full training and on-the-job learning will be provided.
Desirable:
- A caring, compassionate approach.
- Alignment with our values around advocacy and person-centred care.
- Passion for making a meaningful difference through person-centred support.
