Salary: Grade 5 – £26,403 - £27,254 per annum – pro rata
Actual starting salary currently £20,139 per annum.
Contract type: Part-time – 32.5 hours per week – Term Time + 6 additional days
Contract term: Permanent

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Hub Mentor to join our Inclusion Team and play a vital role in supporting some of our most vulnerable students.
This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about helping young people build confidence, re-engage with learning and successfully participate in school life. Every day brings new opportunities to make a genuine difference.
Working within our bespoke Learning Hub, you will support students who may be experiencing barriers to learning, including those:
- Joining the school mid-year and requiring induction support
- Returning following illness or prolonged absence
- Following a personalised or modified timetable
- Recovering from short-term physical injuries
- Requiring additional support to successfully access mainstream education
You will work closely with students, families, teachers, Achievement Leaders and the wider Inclusion Team to help each young person achieve their potential.

What will you do?
As a Learning Hub Mentor, you will:
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students
- Provide academic and pastoral support to individual students and small groups
- Deliver targeted interventions that help remove barriers to learning
- Support young people to develop confidence, resilience and independence
- Liaise with subject teachers to ensure students can continue their learning outside the classroom
- Monitor progress and encourage positive attitudes towards learning
- Support students reintegrating into mainstream lessons and school routines
- Facilitate enrichment opportunities and additional qualifications where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure students receive coordinated support
- Contribute to a culture of inclusion where every student feels valued and supported
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with young people and building positive relationships
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can motivate, encourage and inspire students to succeed
- Is adaptable, solution-focused and able to respond to individual needs
- Understands the barriers that can affect attendance, behaviour and engagement
- Can work effectively as part of a team whilst using their own initiative
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing

Experience working with young people in education, youth work, mentoring, pastoral support, SEND or similar settings would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a passion for supporting young people.
