About the Role

Ashcroft Technology Academy (ATA) is seeking to appoint an additional member to join our Inclusive Care and Support team in providing support for students at risk of underachieving. The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people in a school environment and who feels confident in dealing with students who may be in difficult circumstances or who display challenging behaviour. The successful applicant will also be expected to work with the Heads of Year, Leadership Group and staff to accommodate students as necessary such that they are integrated back in to mainstream school as and when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced and dynamic school environment
  • Have excellent organisational and ICT skills
  • Liaise professionally with staff, parents/carers and external agencies
  • Provide high-quality one-to-one mentoring for students experiencing barriers to learning
  • Build positive, supportive relationships that enable students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally
