About the Role
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team at Ratton School. This is a rewarding opportunity to support the pastoral, emotional, and behavioural development of our students, helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
As a Learning Mentor, your role will involve:
- Supporting individual children and small groups facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges
- Collaborating with teaching staff, parents, and professionals to deliver tailored interventions
- Building trusting relationships that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

This opportunity is ideal for someone with:
- A passion for education and youth support
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in educational or youth settings (preferred, but not essential)
- Empathy, patience, and motivation to help children succeed
- Commitment to quality interventions and assessments
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assisting with educational visits for students
- Participating in ongoing training for professional development
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Terms of Employment

Grade: Single Status 4 pts 9 – 10
- Base Salary (full-time): £25,185 – £25,583 (pay award pending)
- Actual Salary (part-time, term-time):
- £19,847.82 gross/year
- £1,653.98 gross/month

Hours:
- 33.75 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8.30 am – 3.45 pm)
- 30-minute unpaid daily break

Contract:
- Permanent, term-time only (with holiday pay entitlement)
