Role: Learning Solutions Designer – Commercial Training

Team: Commercial Training

Package: Pension, Unlimited leave, Flexible working

Location: Remote (occasional face-to-face as required)

Working pattern: 3 days per week, permanent.

About Corndel:

Corndel is a unique, multi award-winning UK management and technology training provider, partnering with some of the UK’s largest and most exciting businesses to drive organisational performance through transformational learning.

As one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK, we’ve inspired and developed over 30,000 professionals. Our learners rate us 9/10 — and 92% of our team recommends working here. Our open, entrepreneurial culture means you’ll be joining a place where careers, growth and purpose come together.

The team:

Our Commercial Training team delivers high-impact learning programmes directly with businesses, outside of apprenticeship-funded provision. We work with some of the UK’s most ambitious organisations, designing and delivering AI, Data and Leadership programmes that create measurable change. This role sits within that team, bringing dedicated learning design capability to support our growing commercial portfolio.

The opportunity:

The real value of this hire is straightforward: translating client briefs into excellent learning solutions, quickly and credibly, using the depth of content Corndel has already built. This is not a curriculum development role — you will not own the design of Corndel’s apprenticeship programmes, which sits with the Product team. What you will own is how we configure, adapt and package that content for commercial clients, and how we design genuinely bespoke solutions when the brief demands it.

You will work directly alongside the Commercial Training team on proposals, RFPs and client engagements — bringing learning design expertise into the commercial process from the outset. You will need to engage credibly across AI, Data and Leadership subject areas, brief subject matter experts effectively, and design learning that works for busy professionals in a non-apprenticeship context.

If you are energised by variety, take pride in making existing content work harder, and want a role where your design decisions directly shape what clients experience — this is it.

In this role, you will:

Commercial design & configuration

  • Work alongside the Commercial Training team on proposals and RFPs, translating client briefs into well-structured, credible learning solutions.
  • Configure and adapt Corndel’s existing AI, Data and Leadership programme content for commercial clients — packaging what already exists to meet specific client needs quickly and effectively.
  • Design bespoke learning solutions where client needs fall outside the existing portfolio, working from brief to build at pace without compromising quality.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Product team to stay current on the apprenticeship programme portfolio, ensuring you always know what content exists and what can be drawn on or tailored for commercial use.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Learning design & development

  • Develop and maintain a suite of modular, reusable learning assets that can be efficiently configured for different client contexts.
  • Design high-quality learning experiences across both e-learning and instructor-led formats, appropriate to the audience and commercial context.
  • Work in Articulate Rise 360, Metis and equivalent tools to develop or adapt content, in line with Corndel’s content standards — noting that where capacity allows, the Digital Content team can support with builds in Rise 360.
  • Ensure commercial programme content stays current, accurate and relevant — proactively identifying where materials need refreshing in response to changes in the AI, Data or Leadership landscape.

Quality & collaboration

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, the Product team and the Commercial Training team to ensure content accuracy, quality and alignment with client objectives.
  • Gather and act on feedback from facilitators, clients and learners to drive continuous improvement across the commercial programme portfolio.
  • Contribute to the wider Commercial Training team as business need requires.

Content asset management

  • Own and maintain the Commercial Training content asset register — a structured record of available learning materials, their status, and their suitability for commercial reuse or adaptation.

About You

You understand that great learning design is not just about building content — it’s about asking the right questions, making smart decisions about what already exists, and shaping solutions that actually work for the client. You are as comfortable in a proposal conversation as you are in a content build.

  • Commercial design instinct — you understand what clients are trying to achieve, can contribute meaningfully to proposals, and know how to design solutions that are ambitious, practical and deliverable.
  • Learning design expertise — you have demonstrable experience across both e-learning and instructor-led formats and know how to make content work for different audiences and delivery contexts.
  • Breadth across subject areas — you can engage credibly with AI, Data and Leadership content, brief subject matter experts effectively, and design learning that is accurate without being a deep technical specialist.
  • Adaptable — you are skilled at repurposing and configuring existing content for new contexts, not just building from scratch, and you see that as a skill rather than a limitation.
  • Organised and self-directed — you manage multiple workstreams comfortably, deliver to deadlines and maintain quality without close supervision.
  • Collaborative — you work well across teams, communicate clearly, and make it straightforward for others to work with you.
