About The College
Welcome to Calman Colaiste (College), a Specialist Independent 16-25 college providing further education for autistic young adults with additional learning disabilities and complex needs. We benefit from a large 20-acre site with a functional learning hub with catering, horticulture, creative arts, and animal husbandry provision. We offer a range of bespoke programmes for learners at our college campus in Thorney, near Peterborough.

About You
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will be an integral part of the family at Calman College, no two days are the same but here is a brief overview of what your day-to-day duties may look like:
- One of the most important aspects of your role is to build strong and meaningful relationships with our students, adapting to each student's way of learning.
- Supporting the Class Tutor and working together to review the progress of each student.
- Assist in implementing programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team, such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Educational Psychologists from our integrated clinical services.
- Support access to curriculum and vocational work with the students to ensure positive outcomes in line with their personal targets.
- Contribute to the development of the students through the provision of a healthy lifestyle and a variety of appropriate stimulating activities.
- Support students to develop their communication skills utilizing methods appropriate to their abilities.
- Enable work experience and volunteering opportunities onsite and the local community.

This role is Monday to Friday during term time.
