About Us
Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) is part of Aldridge Education, a multi-academy trust committed to raising aspirations and transforming lives through education. Locally, this includes Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) and Aldridge Adult Learning.
PACA is a co-educational 11-16 secondary school in Portslade, Brighton and Hove, serving around 1,000 students. The academy has a strong focus on high expectations, inclusivity, and ensuring that every student is supported to achieve their full potential.

- Has a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and well-being.
- Is proactive, flexible, and committed to teamwork.
- Has strong communication skills and a calm, positive attitude.
- Experience working with children or in education is a plus - but passion matters most.

Essential Criteria
Education
- Educated to at least GCSE standard including Maths and English Grade C/5 or above
- NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification
- Basic First Aid or willingness to undertake it
- Team Teach Training or willingness to undertake it
Experience
- Experience of working in a school environment
- Experience of working with students with behaviour needs
- Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
- Experience of effective classroom behaviour and management strategies
- Experience of working with families and students from disadvantaged communities
