Southkirk Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Vacancies – Stoke Primary School
Role Summary
We are seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our vibrant KS2 team at Stoke Primary School.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Support pupils’ learning and development in KS2, ensuring tailored assistance to maximise progress.
- Work enthusiastically to create a fun, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement differentiated teaching strategies.
- Help stimulate engagement in lessons, provide additional resources, and encourage participation.
- Maintain a high standard of positive behaviour management, promoting inclusivity and safeguarding.
- Support whole-class or individual needs, including atoi (Administrative Technical Occupational Instructional), differentiation, and pastoral care.
- Contribute to a vibrant school community and uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding.

✅ Core Requirements (Essential)
- A genuine desire to work with children and make a positive difference to their lives.
- Interest in education and child development, whether through qualifications or experience.
- Previous candidates from recent searches need not reapply.
- Enthusiasm for supporting multi-agency work within school, including safeguarding.
- Strong team player attitude with the ability to take initiative independently.

✅ Desirable Skills
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or above in Childcare, Education, or similar are preferred but not compulsory.
- Prior experience as an LSA or supporting children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is a bonus.
- Effective communication skills, patience, and understanding of child-centred learning theories.
- Good organisational abilities with the flexibility to adapt to varied duties.
