Role Overview
Position: Learning Support Assistant
Type: Fixed-term contract
Duration: Term time, until 20th July 2027
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £17,237 (pro-rated from FTE rate of £24,330)

Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the responsible Teacher to support learning provision, development, and implementation for pupils.
- Under the Teacher’s direction:
- Facilitate personalised and group-based learning, setting high standards and encouraging positive attitudes.
- Develop, deliver, and adjust intervention programmes based on pupil progress and needs.
- Act as a valued team member in fostering an environment where every child thrives.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Commitment to safeguarding: Demonstrate clear understanding of child protection practices, laws, and protocols.
- Educational qualifications:
- GCSE in English (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
- GCSE in Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent) (or appropriate Functional Skills equivalent)
- Ability to evidence ongoing professional development, ensuring the latest practices are applied in teaching support.
- A collaborative personality prioritizing inclusivity, empowerment, and evidence-based support.
