Job Description

Risby CEVCP School

Address: Risby, Busy St Edmunds, Suffolk IP28 6RT

Salary: £25,185 per annum pro rata

Hours: 32 hours 30 minutes, 8.30 – 3.30 pm, 5 days per week, 38 weeks per year

Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2027, required to start September 2026

Risby CEVCP School are seeking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our successful and well-established team.

You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENDCo to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The Learning Support Assistant will support the pupil’s learning, personal development, communication, independence and wellbeing, enabling them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. You will contribute to a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment and work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals to implement strategies and provision identified within the pupil’s EHCP.
