Learning Support Assistant in Apprenticeships

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for two Learning Support Assistants to join our Apprenticeships Team. This role is primarily based at our Slough & Langley College campus, though occasional travel to the Berkshire College of Agriculture may be required.

Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.

Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) within our Apprenticeships provision, you will play a vital role in helping apprentices across our programmes fully access their curriculum, develop key skills and achieve their potential. You will work closely with apprentices, tutors, assessors and employers to provide tailored learning support that enables apprentices to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to achieve their apprenticeship outcomes.

Support is highly adaptable and may be delivered one-to-one or in small groups, depending on individual needs. You will support a wide range of learners to overcome general barriers to learning by assisting with assignments, exam preparation, and the development of essential English, mathematics, and ICT skills. Alongside this, a key part of your role will involve implementing structured strategies for apprentices with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
