Brickhouse Primary School (SIPS)
2 positions required - as soon as possible (Subject to clearances)
The Governors of this friendly and forward-looking school wish to appoint an enthusiastic, high-quality, learning support assistant.
They will be required to start ASAP and we are looking for someone who can:
- Provide support to teachers in delivering learning activities and assist pupils on an individual or small-group basis to promote academic, social, and emotional development.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, encourage positive behaviour, prepare classroom resources, monitor progress, and contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents while following safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
Requirements include:
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with children.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- The ability to work independently under teacher guidance.
- A commitment to supporting every child's learning and wellbeing.
They will be required to work under the guidance of teaching staff.
Applicants need to have experience of working at this level, as well as having appropriate qualifications (NVQ 2 Certificate or equivalent).
This is a fixed-term appointment to cover an internal vacancy until 31 December 2026.

Grade: Band B, SCP 4 £25,185 p.a. (Actual Salary is £11,885 - £12,042 p.a.)
