Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant
Worcester Sixth Form College
Due to an increase in student needs, the College is seeking an additional permanent caring and committed Learning Support Assistant, at Level 2, with the ability to assist in developing the College’s Independent Study programme and support students on a one-to-one basis. The start date is Monday 24th August 2026. Applicants will need to be qualified to Level 3 (A Level or equivalent), with the ability to support students at this level. The post is full time, term-time (190 days).
Key Responsibilities
- Support Students in Independent Study Sessions:
- Assist students within their timetabled Independent Study sessions.
- Sessions take place within a classroom environment and also in the Learning Resources Centre.

Administrative Tasks:
- Undertake tasks relating to student retention and achievement, such as taking registers and following up on poor or non-attendance.

One-to-One Support:
- Support students on a one-to-one basis to assist with study skills and support their individual learning needs.
