Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Contract for one year) (St Richard’s Catholic College)

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Hours of Work: 34 (part-time, term-time only)

Contract Type: Fixed-term for 1 year Closing Date: Monday, 13 July 2026 (Encouraged to apply early, as interviews may be conducted on receipt of applications)


About the Role

A Learning Support Assistant is required to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils. This role is suited to individuals with:

  • Experience working with young people, or
  • A commitment towards a future career in teaching.

There is potential for this role to transition from the initial fixed-term contract to a permanent position.


Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and personal development of pupils
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance educational outcomes
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
