Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Maternity Cover

Location: Crookhey Hall School, Cockerham, Lancaster, LA2 0HA

Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am to 4.00pm

Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)

Contract: Fixed term until July 2027 | Term Time Only

Start: July 2026

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be at the heart of our school community, supporting both teachers and pupils to help every child reach their full potential. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to inspire, nurture, and empower the next generation.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with individual pupils and small groups on exciting educational activities.
  • Support teachers in developing and delivering tailored learning programmes.
  • Encourage positive relationships, self-esteem, and social development.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of learning materials.
  • Join our pupils on educational visits and occasional transport to enhance their learning experience.
  • Contribute to pupil progress reports and share insights at staff meetings.

  • English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • A dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic individual.
