About Horizon School

Horizon School is a Pupil Referral Unit that supports schools and pupils in the Northern Area of Suffolk.
at the school, we support young people who have been unable to succeed in mainstream education. Here, they are given a second chance with the support and challenge needed to help them achieve their full potential.
The Role
We are now looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Horizon School.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the teacher and to students, aiding in the delivery of the curriculum.
- Work under the direction of the teacher, either in whole classes, small groups, or one-to-one tutoring.
- Respond independently to unexpected situations and challenges in the classroom.

Minimum requirement: Considerable expertise or specialism in supporting teaching and learning.
Salary & Working Terms
- Salary: Grade 3, Point 4-6: £25,185 - £25,989 per annum (pro rata)
- Hours: 35 hours per week, across 39 weeks
- Contract: Permanent, starting as soon as possible (job share considered)
