About the School
Darwen Aldridge Community Academy (DACA) has a roll of 1,200 pupils in the lower school, along with a developing sixth form. The sixth form has delivered strong progress in both academic and applied courses, achieving NEET rates significantly lower than the national average.
Our collective ethos celebrates enterprise and entrepreneurial spirit. DACA also places a strong emphasis on cultural capital, particularly through its Technology and Creative Arts departments. Competitions, visits, and industry guest interactions are central to student enrichment and skill development.
As a truly comprehensive community school, DACA welcomes a broad intake and supports all pupils to achieve their best. This includes working closely with the Pupil Premium group, where 33% of the cohort benefit from targeted support.
