An outstanding secondary school in Upminster is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and resilient SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team this September. This is a full-time, long-term position supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), with a strong potential to transition into a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary school students with various SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language difficulties).
- Work closely with the class teachers and the SENDCo to implement tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Act as a mentor and positive role model, helping students build confidence, academic skills, and emotional resilience.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
To be successful in this role, you must have transferable experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults. We are looking for candidates with experience as a:
- SEN Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant
- School Support Worker
- Youth Worker / Mentor
- Care / Support Worker (looking to transition into education)
Note: A patient, adaptable attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people are absolutely essential.
