Apply Now for Activate Learning, Banbury College

Activate Learning is recruiting dedicated, enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team at Banbury College, specialising in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

Our college is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for young people and adults with diverse additional needs. As an LSA, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling students to achieve independence, confidence, and success in their education and future pathways.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide personalised support, both in and out of the classroom, catering to learners with fluctuating or complex needs such as:

  • Autism
  • Learning difficulties
  • Physical disabilities
  • Social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) challenges

Your role is integral to helping students reach their full potential, contribute to college life, and pursue their post-education aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to SEND students across all levels, from entry-level to GCSEs, Level 3 courses, and further education.
  • Assist students in accessing course content, setting and tracking individual learning goals.
  • Support the development of independence, life skills, and employability skills alongside academic progress.
  • Foster positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching materials, assessments, and learning approaches to meet specific student needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral support, and specialist services to provide a holistic support framework.
  • Assist students with medication management and personal care duties, as necessary, under clear guidelines.
  • Safeguard the welfare of all students in line with college policy, ensuring prompt reporting and escalation where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
