Learning Support Mentor
We’re seeking a Learning Support Mentor to join a dedicated team in a high-needs SEND school in Liverpool. This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with pupils aged 3–19 who present a wide range of needs—including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning profiles. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.
You’ll be joining a supportive, inclusive school that puts wellbeing and community at the centre of everything they do. It’s a good fit for someone who wants to become a familiar face in a school that values consistency.
What You’ll Be Doing: Providing consistent, compassionate 1:1 and small group support Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and personalised learning Using tools like PECs, Makaton, sensory resources, and structured routines Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic progress Adapting activities and environments to meet diverse sensory and communication needs
What We’re Looking For: Experience in SEND or youth support is ideal—but heart, resilience, and adaptability are essential A calm, nurturing presence with strong boundaries and a sense of humour Confidence working with high-needs pupils, including those with challenging behaviour A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous learning
