About The Role
As a Learning Support Team Leader, you will act as a lead to our LSA Mentor and Learning Support Assistants providing support with the day-to-day responsibilities.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing developmental observations
- Direct line management of Learning Support Assistants and LSA Mentor
- Monitoring recruitment needs and retention
- Training and developmental opportunities
You will work closely with the Group Learning Support Team Leads and Delivery Managers to provide extra operational support.
This is a permanent, full-time contract working 37 hours per week based at our Oxford college.
What do you need to be a successful Learning Support Team Leader at Activate Learning?
- Be resilient, solutions focused, and have a clear vision for the team.
- The ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff is vital.
- Ability to effectively manage, develop, and performance-review a team of support staff.
- Strong understanding of SEND and ability to implement appropriate support strategies.
- English and Maths at Grade 4 or above and/or equivalent.
- Ability to coordinate staff deployment and prioritise support efficiently.
- Ability to identify and support staff training and development needs.
- Strong team values.
- Commitment to improving learner progress, independence, and achievement.
