Learning Support Worker Cranleigh, Surrey
Mon:Fri, 9am:5pm
Lets be honest: most job ads sound exactly the same. They promise dynamic environments and passionate teams.
We're not going to do that. Instead, here is exactly what this job is, and exactly what it isn't.
What This Job IS NOT
- It is not a desk job. You won't be staring at spreadsheets or answering passive-aggressive emails.
- It is not a traditional classroom. You'll spend just as much time out in the Cranleigh community, helping adults access social events or local jobs, as you will in our centre.
- It is not an easy ride. You will be supporting adults with autism. Sometimes, they exhibit challenging behaviour. You need a thick skin, a calm head, and serious resilience.
- It is not glamorous. You will be helping people with dignity-focused personal care (washing, dressing, toileting). If you are squeamish about this, this isn't the role for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
