Working Hours

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary

£31,795.00 per annum

Annual Leave

31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)

As our Learning Technologist you will play a highly visible and influential role in supporting staff and students to use technology confidently, creatively and effectively. The postholder will work collaboratively across curriculum and professional service areas to embed innovative digital practice, develop engaging online learning content, and help shape a modern, inclusive and digitally confident learning environment.

The successful candidate will support the introduction of new technologies, lead staff and student development activity, and contribute to the College’s wider digital transformation agenda. You will act as a trusted and approachable digital specialist, helping colleagues and learners navigate change positively while ensuring technology enhances learning, accessibility, engagement and student success.

Responsibilities of our Learning Technologist

  • Create engaging online learning resources and multimedia content
  • Deliver training, workshops and digital skills development activities
  • Support staff to enhance teaching, learning and assessment through technology
  • Troubleshoot challenges and provide practical support to staff and students
  • Test and implement new digital tools and AI solutions

What we’re looking for in our Learning Technologist

  • Minimum Level 2 Maths & English
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in education, digital learning, IT, media or related field
  • Experience of supporting digital learning technologies in an educational environment
  • Experience of creating digital learning resources and online content
  • Experience of delivering digital training or staff development activity
  • Strong understanding of digital learning platforms and educational technologies
