Lease Officer

Lease Officer – Derby/ Hybrid (Full-Time)

Why Join Rolls-Royce?

At Rolls-Royce, we are proud to be a business that has truly shaped the modern world and are committed to driving progress—powering, protecting, and connecting people everywhere. By joining us, you’ll:

  • Work on world-class solutions within a culture that values individuality and fosters innovation.
  • Contribute to a high-performance environment where diverse perspectives and experiences are celebrated.
  • Play a role in our transformation programme, helping Rolls-Royce become high-performing, competitive, resilient, and growing.

Position Summary

We are seeking an ambitious Lease Officer to join our team in Derby as part of Aether, Rolls-Royce’s asset management division.

Aether manages assets on behalf of third-party owners, enabling the efficient lease and return of civil aircraft engines to airlines globally. Your role will focus on:

  • Delivering services within agreed timeframes
  • Improving turn-around time between leases
  • Maintaining engine asset value
  • Minimising risk for all stakeholders

As part of a new, dynamic team, you’ll work closely with senior management daily and across both Derby (core team) and London (supporting functions). The hybrid model allows you to balance in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for acquisition and transfer of engines, managing interactions with multiple internal and external organisations.
  • Technical due diligence—overseeing technical acceptance and providing technical recommendations to customers utilising lease management services.
  • Delivering and retrieving technical records to support lease and redelivery processes, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Overseeing the physical condition of assets during leasing, end-of-lease redeliveries, and operator compliance checks.
  • Ensuring continued engine serviceability and availability, including acquisition due diligence and lease return adherence.
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Liaising with airlines, MROs, and OEMs to facilitate smooth lease transactions and enhance programme delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
