Job Title: Lease Officer (Derby | Hybrid | Full-time)

Position Summary
We’re seeking a Lease Officer to join our ambitious team in Derby.
Aether—a Rolls-Royce business—specialises in asset management for third-party aircraft engine owners, ensuring efficient lease cycles for global airlines. As Lease Officer, your role will focus on critical objectives:
- Delivering high-standard services within agreed timeframes.
- Optimising turn-around times.
- Preserving asset value while minimising risk for all stakeholders.
Due to the organisation’s agile structure, you’ll interact closely with senior management daily. The team is largely based in Derby, with support from London.
Key Responsibilities

Acquisition & Transfer Management:
- Oversee acquisition and transfer of engines from multiple internal and external organisations.

Technical Compliance:
- Lead Technical Acceptance and provide technical recommendations to customers utilising our acquisition services.

Technical Documentation:
- Ensure accurate delivery and retrieval of technical records to facilitate seamless lease transitions.

Asset Condition Assurance:
- Verify the physical and operational condition of engines before and after lease periods.

Engine Serviceability & Availability:
- Conduct acquisition due diligence.
- Lodge operator compliance checks regarding leasing redelivery requirements.

Problem Resolution:
- Identify operational issues while maintaining customer satisfaction through concise resolution processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Prior experience in:
- Customer Services
- Technical Project Management
- Powerplant operations ...within Airline Leasing, Engine Leasing, Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO), or related advisory firms.
- Willingness to travel as required, including on short notice.
Preferred:
- Proven business acumen and project management (preferably with formal certification).
- Experience in prioritising workloads to meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong customer/relationship management skills, particularly with airline operators or MRO providers.
- Technical expertise in Rolls-Royce Trent engines.
- Interpersonal & negotiation prowess for resolving complex challenges.
- Experience with engine visit processes and airline engineering operations.
- Computer literacy with software like CMS, STREAM, EFPAC, Flydocs, Leasepoint, Salesforce, or OEM engine portals (advantageous).
