- Develop and deliver a specialist SEND programme in Farming & Agriculture.
- Combine vocational expertise with passion for inclusive education.
- Design career-focused learning paths for learners with SEND, equipping them with skills, confidence, and independence to progress.
- Work with colleagues, mentoring teams, employers, and external partners to support a compelling learner journey.
- Shape curriculum innovation, quality refinement, and industry-aligned learning opportunities.

Role Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership:
- Lead and deliver a high-quality SEND programme specialising in Farming and Agriculture.
- Learner Support:
- Monitor progress, attendance, achievements, and EHCP outcomes, implementing strategies for success.
- Curriculum & Inclusion:
- Develop engaging, inclusive schemes of learning, resources, and adaptive assessments.
- Curriculum Quality:
- Organise quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with employers, families, and external organisations to support learner progression and positive destination outcomes.
- Recruitment & Promotion:
- Support student recruitment, inclusive programme promotion, and SEND advocacy within the college.
Qualifications
- Degree in SEND, Youth Work, or a related field.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade 4 [C] or equivalent).
- Level 3 Assessor Qualification (or commitment to obtain within an agreed timeline).
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with teaching or supporting young people with SEND.
- Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and leadership.
- Informed understanding of inclusive teaching, differentiated learning, and adaptive assessment tools.
- Ability to set aspirations for individual learners and maintain clear records.
- Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies.
- Competency in digital learning platforms for teaching & communication.
- Safeguarding awareness, commitment to equal opportunities, and diversity & inclusion principles.
- Passion for raising aspirations and improving SEND learner outcomes.
- Vocational industry experience in:
- Land-Based Studies
- Farming & Maintenance
- Agriculture/Animal Welfare

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Postgraduate teaching qualifications (PGCE, PD/TE Certificates).
- SEND specialist training (Autism, SEMH, Specific Learning Difficulties).
- Experience in Internal Quality Assurance within Further Education.
- Knowledge of EHCP structures and transition planning for employment and adulthood.
- Awareness of current SEND legislation and policy reforms.
- Workplace experience with:
- Supported internships
- Work-Based Learning models
- Employer engagement
