We are seeking a Lecturer to join our team. In this role you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of Beauty Therapy programmes, supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes.

You will undertake course leadership responsibilities, provide guidance and support to students, monitor learner progress in line with awarding body requirements, and contribute to the effective management and administration of the curriculum.

The role also involves using learner data to drive improvements in attendance, retention, achievement, and overall learner success, while ensuring compliance with study programme requirements and College policies.

In addition, you will contribute to the marketing and promotion of courses through open events and recruitment activities, maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, and support the development of innovative curriculum and course provision. A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, health and safety, and delivering an exceptional learner experience is essential.

29.5 hours per week (part time), Permanent.

FTE £32,227.00 - £35,228.44, Actual: £25,694.49 - £28,087.52 per annum

About the role:

Teach across a range of Beauty Therapy programmes, delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment. Undertake course leadership responsibilities within Beauty Therapy and carry out associated administrative duties as directed by the Head of Salon Studies. Support the effective management and administration of the Beauty Therapy curriculum. Provide guidance and support to students with assessment planning, subject delivery, and achievement of learning outcomes. Monitor and maintain the quality and standards of students’ work in line with awarding body requirements and College expectations. Contribute to marketing, recruitment, and publicity activities, including promotional events and open days where required. Adhere to and actively promote the College’s policies and practices relating to Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Health and Safety. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and wellbeing.

Essential Experience:

Experience of working in the Beauty Therapy industry. Experience of teaching, training and assessing to groups of learners An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment An awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity

Essential Qualifications:

Good level of general education including a minimum of GCSE grades 9-4 in Maths and English or equivalent Level 3 Qualification beauty therapy including electrical treatments. Assessors award or equivalent Certificate in Education or equivalent, or the willingness to obtain one in post
