South Hampshire College Group is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Business & Events to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that help our students achieve their full potential.

Duties

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across Business and Events programmes.
  • Act as a Personal Tutor, supporting students' academic progress and wellbeing.
  • Plan, prepare, assess and provide constructive feedback on student work.
  • Monitor student attendance, progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to course leadership, quality improvement activities and curriculum development.
  • Support employer engagement, industry links, work placements and student enrichment activities.
  • Participate in open events, school liaison activities and recruitment initiatives.

Skills/Experience

  • Relevant industry experience and knowledge within Business and/or Events.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with learners and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of IT and digital learning tools.
  • Previous teaching experience or experience supporting apprentices in the workplace would be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification/industry experience.
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • A teaching qualification is desirable, or a willingness to work towards one within the required timeframe.
