South Essex Colleges Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Creative Arts Lecturer to join our team at the Thurrock Campus on a 0.6 FTE basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing Creative Arts department, delivering engaging and innovative teaching across Performing Arts, Production Arts, and Music programmes.
You will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment within the creative industries.
About The Role
As a Creative Arts Lecturer, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons across Performing Arts, Production Arts, and Music programmes.
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
- Support recruitment events, open days, and cross-college initiatives.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Level 3 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards one.
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- Relevant qualifications and/or industry experience within the Creative Arts sector.
- Experience of teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring learners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for creative education and student success.

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be dependent on qualifications and experience. As well as a competitive salary, you can expect:
- Pro rata of 40 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- College closure days
