About the Role
Kingston College is seeking a dedicated Lecturer to teach across Level 1 to Degree level, with a primary focus on the T Level in Early Years and Childcare.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and delivering engaging teaching sessions across practical, online, and work-based placements.
- Supporting learners’ employability, enterprise skills, and commercial awareness.
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies, placement protocols, and early years regulations.
- Combining teaching with personal tutoring, including support during placements and assessments in settings.
- Continuously updating assessment methods to inspire learners; this includes designing innovative assignments and placements tailored for T level exams (highly practical and project-based).
- Contributing to internal verification processes and external validation activities.
- Maintaining engaging lessons for diverse learners, with a proven ability to inspire passion for education in early years/school provision.

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
- Professional Background: Strong industry experience in Early Years, Childcare, or School Provision, including familiarity with SEN/Special Educational Needs (desirable).
- Subject Knowledge: Deep understanding of early years education, child development, and safeguarding.
- Qualifications:
- A relevant degree or recognised professional qualification in Early Years/Childcare.
- A teaching qualification (or a commitment to gain one).
- An assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA or TAQA).
- Teaching Skills: Experience in higher and further education settings, including:
- Adapting to learners’ needs.
- Assessing diverse abilities (theoretical and practical).
- Soft Skills: Ability to motivate, mentor, and empathise with learners.
- Organisational Skills: Managing admin, timetables, and compliance documentation efficiently.
- IT Proficiency: Full командeency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email tools.
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Portfolio work demonstrating teaching innovation.
- Experience in ** tecnologia-infused learning**.
Salary & Benefits
Salary:
- Subject to annual cost-of-living adjustments for 2026/27 academic year.
