Job no: 540760 Work type: Part-time (7 hours per week) Location: Randwick Clinical Campus, Sydney, NSW, Australia Employment Type: Fixed-term (2 years) Remuneration: $133,065 base per annum (prorated) + 17% superannuation + leave loading
About the Role
This Education Focused (EF) role supports clinical teaching for students within the UNSW Medicine Program at the Prince of Wales Hospital, part of the Randwick Clinical Campus in the School of Clinical Medicine.
UNSW’s Education Focused roles enable academics to specialise in education delivery and initiatives to enhance student learning experiences. Appointment to this role involves driving educational excellence and fostering a high-quality teaching and learning community.
Key Responsibilities & Selection Criteria
Required Skills & Experience
- A strong clinical background, complemented by:
- A higher degree in a relevant discipline or substantial work experience
- Commitment to professional development, staying current in disciplinary knowledge
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate levels
- Experience with educational technologies and online teaching methodologies
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence, such as:
- Curriculum design and development (varied levels and scales)
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to support and inspire diverse student backgrounds, including equity and inclusion initiatives
