Lecturer Electrical

About The Role

Deliver engaging lessons across a range of FE electrical programmes, including Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.

  • Teach both theory (electrical principles, regulations, and design) and practical skills (installation, testing, and fault-finding) in our fully equipped workshops.
  • Assess learners’ progress through practical assessments, written assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to help them excel.
  • Keep your teaching current by integrating the latest industry standards, such as the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and emerging technologies like renewable energy systems.
  • Support learners with career guidance, employability skills, and preparation for industry placements or apprenticeships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and share best practice.

What You'll Bring

  • A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (Level 2 or above).
  • Industry experience as an electrician or similar role.
  • A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping pace with industry changes.
