Full Time | Permanent | £37,500 Per Annum (Plus a £5000 Market Forces Uplift)

The Role

This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Electrical Installation, supporting students to achieve their qualifications and career goals. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Assessing student progress
  • Providing pastoral support as a personal tutor
  • Developing curriculum content
  • Maintaining strong links with industry
  • Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement

What Will You Bring To The Role

  • Persistence: This role requires persistence because it involves supporting learners with a wide range of practical and theoretical skills, encouraging them to overcome challenges, maintaining high teaching standards, and ensuring all practical activities are completed safely and effectively.
  • Adapting: This role requires adaptability to respond to different learner needs, changes in qualification requirements, new electrotechnical technologies, and varying teaching methods. It also involves working closely with colleagues and employers to provide the best learning experience.
  • Collaborating: Collaboration is essential because the lecturer works closely with teaching colleagues, assessors, Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs), employers and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and learner support while maintaining industry standards.
  • Problem Solving: Problem solving is an important part of the role because the lecturer must identify and resolve issues during practical sessions, adapt teaching strategies to meet learner needs, troubleshoot electrical equipment or workshop resources, and ensure learning can continue safely and effectively.
