About South Thames College
South Thames College is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation lecturer to deliver outstanding quality in teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students, to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum, with employer engagement, and learner skills development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement innovative teaching, learning, and assessment
- Deliver teaching and assessment activities within own area of specialism including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practical’s, and fieldwork
Requirements
- Hold a teaching qualification (or working towards)
- Hold an Electrical Installation qualification
- Have recent UK teaching experience in Electrical Installation in an FE College
- Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
- Experience of assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress effectively with strong classroom management skills, able to motivate diverse learners
- Good understanding of current FE curriculum frameworks and quality standards
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet a wide range of learner needs
- Strong communicator and excellent organisational skills, able to manage workload and meet deadlines

Additional Information
Potential Salary Uplift
There will be up to £5K uplift (pro rata) if the candidate has the following:
- Relevant Vocational Qualification (Level 3)
- Teaching qualification or willingness to complete
- Relevant industry experience
There will be a further uplift up to £5K (pro rata) if the candidate has the following:
- Hold a JIB ECS Card with a grade at approved of Site Technician status
- Additional Qualifications in Electrical Installation i.e. 2382 (18th Edition)
- Assessors Award D32/33 or TAQA equivalent.
