Lecturer – Fabrication & Welding
2 Posts – 35 Hours Per Week (2 FTE Pfermanent)

Are you passionate about teaching and ready to inspire the next generation of fabrication, welding, and pipefitting students? Our renowned faculty is celebrated for its exceptional teaching, unparalleled student experience, and providing students with extraordinary learning opportunities.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our fabrication and welding team and deliver cutting-edge courses in Fabrication and Welding. This exciting role involves a blend of hands-on workshop instruction and engaging classroom delivery to a diverse student body at various levels.
What You’ll Do
- Inspire and Educate: Delivery of high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment materials, while supporting our learners. Foster a stimulating learning environment
- Develop Curriculum: Create and implement lesson plans and curriculum materials that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field and integrate relevant updates into your teaching practices
- Maintain Excellence: Ensure accurate record-keeping and comply with external bodies and college policies

Who We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Attributes
- Achieved qualifications at SCQF Level 7 or hold a relevant professional equivalent in the fabrication and welding industry, or be willing to work towards this level
- Dynamic attitude with a passion for teaching, including those without previous teaching experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively while relating well to diverse student groups
- Strong organisational skills and proven ability to work under pressure
- A flexible, can-do attitude

Additional Requirements
- Any offer of employment will be subject to receiving a satisfactory Scheme Record through the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme
- All successful applicants must have a TQFE or equivalent and be GTCS registered within 5 years of the start date
Salary & Location
- £41,833 – £50,359 per annum
- Location: Anniesland Campus (travel between Glasgow Clyde campuses may be required)
