Lecturer, Hair, Southend Campus

We have an exciting opportunity in our Southend Campus for a Lecturer, in Hair, within the Service Industries department.

Role Overview

The successful applicant will need to have a Hairdressing qualification at level 3. For this year, they will be leading the Introduction to Hairdressing course that will include the delivery of Level 1 English and Maths - so the applicant must also have good English and Maths skills. A teaching and assessing qualification is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Assessment: Deliver high quality teaching and learning, developing appropriate teaching techniques and materials which enable all learners to achieve their full potential and take account of educational initiatives.
  • Support: Support positive behaviour and attendance of cohort, working with other members of the team and NOK.
  • Learner Focus: Ensure the needs of our learners come first and that every learner will be provided with opportunities to achieve their full potential within a safe, stimulating and supportive environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to use tracking systems.
