About The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Hairdressing Lecturer to join our growing campus in the centre of Dover. This role is 18.5 hours per week with a salary of £18,055 up to £19,780. (Specific working pattern to be confirmed)

As a Lecturer of Hairdressing at EKC Group, you'll inspire and develop the next generation of hair professionals, delivering engaging, industry-focused learning that equips students with the skills and confidence to succeed.

Working across a range of learning environments, you'll create an inclusive and supportive experience where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

In This Role, You Will

  • Deliver inspiring, high-quality hairdressing lessons, practical workshops and demonstrations.
  • Teach, train and assess learners using a variety of innovative teaching methods.
  • Support and motivate students to achieve their individual goals and progress into successful careers.
  • Plan, deliver and continually evaluate engaging study programmes and courses to ensure an outstanding learner experience.
  • Monitor learner progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support where needed.
  • Foster strong links with industry to ensure teaching reflects current trends, techniques and professional standards.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative teaching team committed to excellence in education and student success.

About You

You’ll be a highly organised and creative educator, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Tracking student progress and using this to plan targeted support and interventions will be a key part of your role.

Ideally, you’ll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn’t essential as full training will be provided. You’ll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification
