The Role

Kingston Business School is seeking to appoint an ambitious and talented Lecturer in Accounting & Finance to join the Department of Accounting, Finance and Informatics.

We are particularly interested in applications from early-career researchers with expertise in Accounting and Finance who can contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and demonstrate the potential to develop a strong research profile.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and enhancement of our Accounting and Finance portfolio through high-quality teaching, assessment, module leadership and student support. You will be expected to teach across a range of Accounting and Finance subjects and contribute to curriculum development, quality enhancement and student recruitment activities.

The role also provides an opportunity to develop and maintain an active programme of research aligned to Kingston University's Research Domain Framework. You will contribute to the Department's research culture through publications, conference participation, collaborative research projects and engagement with external partners.

The Person

You will hold, or be close to completing, a PhD in Accounting or Finance discipline and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research.

You should be able to teach Accounting and Finance subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and have experience of supporting diverse student cohorts. You will have a developing research profile, evidenced through publication pipeline, conference presentations or other scholarly activities, together with a clear plan for future research development.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of engaging students from a wide range of educational and cultural backgrounds, and will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching, academic citizenship and collaborative working.

Experience of module leadership, curriculum development and engagement with professional accreditation requirements within Accounting and Finance would be advantageous.

Further information

There are two full-time, permanent positions with a starting salary of £45,025 per annum.
