Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering
Senior Lecturer/Teacher in Agricultural Mechanisation & Engineering – Permanent
£27,119 - £44,227 per annum (based on experience and qualifications) • 37 hours per week
About the Role

Hartpury’s Agriculture department is looking for skilled professionals like you to take the next step in your career and make a real impact in education.
This is an exciting teaching opportunity within Hartpury’s FE Agriculture department, where you can:
- Apply industry knowledge while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
- Deliver exceptional teaching, sharing your knowledge and passion to assist students in achieving outstanding results within an exam-based agriculture qualification.
- Teach across a range of specialist areas, including Mechanisation & Engineering, with full-time roles available.
- Inspire students to develop a deep appreciation for engineering and a long-term passion for the sector.
- Monitor and track student progress, using accurate records to inform teaching, support, and enhance learning outcomes.

About You
We’re looking for candidates with:
- A genuine passion for agriculture and industry-led education, where real-world experience makes a tangible difference.
- Previous teaching experience (desirable but not essential)—priority is given to those who can share their expertise passionately with the next generation.
- Extensive industry knowledge in agricultural engineering or mechanisation, with expertise to guide student development.
- A commitment to continuous professional development—support is provided to help you gain teaching qualifications if required.
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject is desirable; however, strong industry experience is highly valued.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills to maintain accurate learner records.
- Strong teamwork ethic, coupled with the ability to collaborate with external partners and industry figures.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment.
