Lecturer in Automotive (FE)

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £35,608 – £43,482 per annum | AC2

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

About the Role

Do you have experience teaching Automotive (Motor Vehicle) Engineering in Further Education?

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Automotive Lecturer to join our Engineering department. Here, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across our Further Education programmes. Our department features industry-standard workshop facilities, modern diagnostic equipment, and specialist resources to support practical and technical automotive training.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning experiences for students, enabling them to achieve both academic and vocational goals.
  • Support the development of the next generation of automotive technicians and engineers.
  • Deliver programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 in Motor Vehicle and Automotive disciplines.
  • Equip learners with the technical knowledge and practical skills required by the industry.

Requirements

  • Must hold a relevant qualification in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • A teaching qualification is desirable, along with experience delivering vocational programmes within FE.
  • Applicants should align with the following experience/role titles (but are not limited to):
