- Compensation: £33,990 – £42,764.41 + Potential Market Supplement (DOE)

About the Role

Due to continued growth in the Construction Department, we are seeking lecturers in Carpentry & Joinery starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a forward-thinking curriculum and inspire skilled tradespeople for the future.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of assigned courses, ensuring personal, tailored guidance for every student’s success.
- Develop effective feedback and assessment systems, adapting teaching methods based on student progress.
- Maintain alignment with Quality Assurance framework standards.
- Manage course administration and organisational tasks.
- Participate in innovative curriculum development.
- Foster a professional, motivational learning environment with effective behaviour management.
- Continuously refine teaching skills to enhance student outcomes.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum: Relevant Level 3 vocational qualification.
- Experience: Teaching across multiple levels (up to Level 3), including both vocational and academic supervision.
- Recent industry reference: Direct, recent experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Intimate knowledge of:
- Course subject matter.
- Examination and assessment requirements.
- Value-added principles and performance monitoring.
- Partnership-building: Experience developing and sustaining external industry partnerships to enrich learning.
- Aspirational teaching: Ability to inspire, motivate, and raise learner aspirations through excellent teaching delivery.
