Salary: £32,136 - £42,848 per annum

Location: Stafford College (IOT) Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week

Job Description

Join the Construction & Engineering Team as an enthusiastic Lecturer in [Design Surveying and Planning for Construction] to deliver T Level programmes at outstanding levels.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive, high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for a range of Design Surveying and Planning programmes.
  • Ensure progression targets (recruitment, retention, achievement, attendance) are met for all learners.
  • Core tasks include:
    • Class preparation, marking assessments
    • Progress monitoring and performance reporting
    • Exam paper creation and marking
    • Developing flexible, industry-aligned learning materials
  • Act as a pastoral tutor for student groups, supporting their personal and academic needs.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

(Technical teaching and employability qualifications) ✔ Hold a relevant industry qualification in Construction Technical specialisms. ✔ Possess (or be willing to obtain) a teaching qualification (DTLLS|PGCE|equivalent). ✔ Demonstrate up-to-date industry experience and standards-aligned teaching capabilities. ✔ Strong organisation skills, able to manage varied workloads effectively.
