Clinical/or Academic Radiographer (Diagnostic) - Teaching & Research

About the Role
This role is primarily based at Leeds Main Campus with the option for hybrid working. We are open to discussing further flexible working arrangements.
A Diagnostic Radiographer with an interest in education and research is invited to apply! This opportunity allows you to:
- Contribute to innovative education initiatives in Medical Imaging.
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including:
- [BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography]
- [BSc (Hons) Medical Ultrasound]
- [MSc Medical Imaging]
- Join a dynamic academic team (approximately 30 staff) dedicated to excellence in student education.
- Lead and enhance student learning provision through research, teaching, and scholarship.
We particularly welcome applicants with expertise in radiographic reporting, CT, and/or MRI.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Diagnostic Radiography, drawing on professional experience.
- Lead and innovate in medical imaging education, fostering strong teamwork and autonomous work.
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supporting excellence in medical education.
- Participate in research, scholarship activities, and evidence-based practice to strengthen the discipline.
- Work closely with the Department of Specialist Science Education, supporting the mission of a leading Russell Group institution.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
✅ Hold state registration as a Professional Radiographer (FCOD, Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)) in the UK. ✅ Demonstrate expertise in Diagnostic Radiography, with strong preference for applicants with experience in radiographic reporting, CT, and/or MRI. ✅ Have a clear desire for a career in higher education, including teaching and curriculum development. ✔ Experience in student assessment, supervision, or mentorship is desirable.

Desirable Skills
🔹 Experience in scheme accreditation, quality assurance, or curriculum design. 🔹 Research or scholarly experience relevant to diagnostic imaging sciences. 🔹 Knowledge of education theory and its application in clinical practice, particularly in health professions education.
