Lecturer in Electrical Installation
College location: East Surrey College
Salary: £31,990 - £41,718.11 (subject to qualifications, skills, and experience)
Hours: Monday and Friday - 8:45 - 5 pm
We’re looking for an inspiring and passionate Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our team and deliver engaging teaching and assessment across Levels 2–3. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled professionals, sharing your expertise and enthusiasm to help learners achieve their full potential.
Working closely with the Programme Manager and the wider Construction team, you’ll play a key role in creating an exceptional learning experience, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the ongoing success of the College. As a personal tutor, you’ll motivate and support learners, champion attendance and engagement, take part in collaborative team meetings, and contribute to the planning, development, and innovation of your subject area.

This role is perfect for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking professional with a strong background in Electrical Installation, who is ready to make a real impact in education and inspire learners to excel.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
- A full teaching qualification or currently working towards one
- At least a Level 3 qualification within Electrical Installation
- Relevant industry experience or qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students
It is also highly desirable that you hold the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and also desirable for you to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. A1 or V1) it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).
