Lecturer in English

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in English to join our Slough & Langley College team on a permanent, part-time basis working on a 0.5 FTE. The salary for this role ranges from T1 £15,816.50 to T11 £22,670.50 (T1 £31,633 to T11 £45,341 FTE), depending on qualifications and experience.

Please note that whilst the new academic year commences on Wednesday 19th August 2026, shortlisting for this role will take place during the week commencing 17th August 2026. The successful candidate’s start date will be confirmed following the recruitment process.

Lecturer in English

As a Lecturer in English, you will be joining our Ofsted Rated Good Colleges Group delivering high quality English teaching at our Slough and Langley College campus. Your role focuses on supporting post-16 learners to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, enabling successful achievement of GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications.

In partnership with Learning Support Assistants, you will create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs. Using diagnostic data, you will identify gaps in learning, set and monitor individual targets, and deliver focused interventions to support progress. Your collaborative approach will play a key role in improving attendance, retention and achievement, enabling all learners to reach their full potential.
