Chichester College Group have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in ESOL at our Chichester College campus. You will join us on either a full time or part time, fixed term basis. In return, we will offer a competitive salary of £27,785 - £43,325 per annum (or pro rata).

Are you passionate about ESOL, and looking for a part time role that enables you to share your expertise and insight with our learners?

Chichester College is seeking two ESOL Lecturers to join our fantastic team and deliver an exciting curriculum to students whose first language isn't English. We deliver to both part time and full time learners who have a variety of backgrounds but want to learn as they integrate into the local community.

These posts are fixed term for one year.


The Lecturer In ESOL Role

Our Lecturer in ESOL will have a track record in delivering engaging ESOL lessons, and a patient, methodical approach to ensure the syllabus is delivered in an appealing way. You will be committed to helping our students make progress and will work to develop engaging, effective teaching.


Key Responsibilities Of Our Lecturer In ESOL

  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.

Our ideal Lecturer in ESOL should have the following skills and experience:

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • Experience in delivering ESOL lessons
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
