This is a part time, 0.5 FTE (18.5 hours per week), Permanent lecturer position, with a starting salary of £22,512.50 per annum (50% pro rata to £45,025 per annum).

The interviews will take place week commencing 3rd August 2026.

The Role

The Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media Practice sits at the heart of Kingston School of Art, where the course delivers the conceptual, practical and technical skills to showcase students’ strengths and creative direction. Students develop insight and understanding across the fields of art and design to define their progression to study further on degree programmes at university or beyond.

This role of Pathway leader will be an integral part of the Foundation pathway leadership team and will be directly responsible for leading the Fashion & Fabrication specialism. You would be building upon the existing excellent practice in teaching and learning, and the reputation and track record of the Foundation course and its Fashion & Fabrication pathway. You will take the lead on planning and developing the curriculum, timetabling and the co-ordination of specialism staff. Your role will embrace active studio delivery, group and 121 tutorials, support and coordinate University applications and portfolios and assessment marking and feedback. This role will be expected to engage in pastoral care of a diverse range of students, differing degrees of academic leadership, management and administration and to maintain relationships within the Department, School, Faculty and University.

The Person
