Description
Fixed term contract, 37 hours per week, until 31 July 2027.
Qualified Lecturer Salary L5 and above (P27-P35 £32,186.70 - £40,015.50)

Job Purpose
To deliver teaching and learning and administrate assessment processes within department and across other departments on a serviced-in basis. To work flexibly across a range of courses as required, both face to face and through remote learning platforms. To adhere and administrate Health and Safety policies and procedures. To assist in the coordination of recruitment, assessment, enrolment, and induction of students. To contribute towards the planning and effective running of the curriculum and department.

Key Responsibilities
- To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment procedures and processes in accordance with examination requirements. To be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
- To deliver functional skills English and Mathematics from Entry to Level 2.
- To produce sequencing documents, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- To help co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team including tracking and monitoring of student progress.
- To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and learners.
- To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.
- Contribute effectively to the Teaching Communities strategy, and engage positively in developing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A teaching qualification
- Level 4 qualification in English/Mathematics or other related qualification
- Demonstrate knowledge of the current functional skills syllabus
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Functional Skills English and Maths syllabus
